Day 1 of 90

Ninety days to turn an inherited number
into one you can defend to the board.

You report to a CEO, a CFO and a board, and some of you to an operating partner too. They hired you for a number someone else forecast. Management OS reads your CRM, calendar and team from day one, so your first answers come from what your own systems show.

5-minute setup · first brief in about 15 minutes · Card required. Cancel before day 30 and pay nothing.

Before you change things, learn what's true: week one on the CRM you inherited, who needs coaching every week, the board update in week twelve.

The seat you just took

What does a new CRO need to know in the first 90 days?

A new CRO needs to know three things, in order: which deals and sellers are real, which managers can carry a coaching rhythm when you can't be everywhere to everyone, and what the first board update will say, with evidence behind it.

A first quarter fills up with reaction: the loudest deal, the rep in the doorway, a forecast rebuilt the night before the call. Ninety days later the number has your name on it either way.

Install the rhythm in week one. Your board update in week twelve reads from it.

Three moves from an inherited number to one you can defend.

Connect your CRM on day one, and every step has evidence behind it.

A renewal the forecast counts on, one contact in the account, weeks of silence. The brief names the three moves before your forecast call.

Week 1

Know what's real.

The brief separates the pipeline you can commit from hope with a close date, and flags where deals keep slipping, by seller, stage and size. Bring that first read to your meeting with the CEO and CFO.

You walk into your first forecast call already calibrated.

Week 4

Coach through your managers.

Who needs coaching, why, and every 1:1 prepped 30 minutes before it starts. A nudge when one of your direct reports goes 14 days without a 1:1 with you.

You walk into each 1:1 with your managers knowing what to ask.

Week 12

The first board update.

Once the board meeting is on your calendar: three weeks out, a weekly prep plan. Seven days out, a draft update from your pipeline, wins and losses. The day before, the full dossier with variance, narrative and the questions likely to come.

The number has your name on it because you built the discipline under it.

Bringing the CEO along

Recommending a tool in your first quarter is a credibility bet.

The purchase goes through the CEO or CFO, and you don't want to spend early capital selling software. Send them the two-minute tour. It runs without a login, and they can judge it on their own time.

Questions

Before you start.

Is 90 days enough to change a forecast?

Enough to change how the forecast is built, and rarely enough to change the number itself. In 90 days you can know which deals and sellers are real, run a coaching rhythm through your managers and show the board the method behind your call.

Will it work with the CRM I inherited?

Yes. It connects read-only to HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Zoho CRM, Keap, monday.com, Attio or a spreadsheet, and maps your stage names to one standard so an inherited pipeline is read consistently.

I report to an operating partner. Does that change anything?

The same system applies, and the operating partner will grade the rhythm behind the number as closely as the number. Management OS for PE-backed CROs lays out a 100-day plan you can show the sponsor.

What does it cost after the trial?

From $1,250 a month. Leader covers you and up to 3 people, Team ($1,800) up to 5, and Org ($3,000) up to 10, any mix of managers and reps. Annual billing costs less, and there is no platform fee.
